Comrades my Party leader and I are here to discuss the possible signing up of the ILP to this fine organisation. We have a number of concerns which Party leader, Patrick O'Leary will address.

Hey Comrades, My name is Patrick O'Leary, PP of ILP. It is a pleasure to meet you all. We have a couple of 'quibbles' about joining International.

First and foremost among them is the matter of Northern Ireland. Ireland lays a claim to it, as well as the UK. It started out as a UK region, even though it's name is Northern Ireland. Would your anti-imperialist views prevent us from taking this region?

Hello.

I see the problem, indeed. Purely geographically, the region seem to belong to Ireland in my eyes. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the concerned region is Irish in real life, isn't it? Now, even if the region at first belonged to the UK, which would disfavour your part in the story, there's a huge difference between the UK and Ireland.

"It is my opinion that the international situation has now reached a new turning point. There are two winds in the world today, the East Wind and the West Wind. There is a Chinese saying, "Either the East Wind prevails over the West Wind or the West Wind prevails over the East Wind." I believe it is characteristic of the situation today that the East Wind is prevailing over the West Wind."

I'm not too familiar with the Irish politics, but as far as I can see, Ireland is currently under the reign of a socialist president. Your plans on taking over Nort Ireland is therefore free from any burden. North Ireland is being held as a prisoner by the bourgeoisie United Kingdom, and it is our socialist star Ireland's duty to free the people of not only North Ireland, but the whole world.

And that was my opinion on that matter. I don't see any point in keeping you out in the cold. Welcome to the Comintern.

Comrade just to explain a bit further just so everyone is clear.

In RL Northern Ireland is currently governed and considered part of the United Kingdom.

The same was/is the in game status is eRepublik.

The Independent Labour Party (and a very large majority of eIreland citizens) do not accept this and we consider the island of Ireland, which included the region "Northern Ireland" wholly and undeniably belongs to the people of Ireland and should be governed by the one Government of Ireland.

Under the terms of the founding stipulations of the Comintern our attempts to make good this claim will be received as an Imperialist War and would therefore disbar us from joining.

We need a formal understanding that our claim is exempt for such restraints before we could consider joining.

Your intention is to rule North Ireland yourself.

Ireland today is a socialist state of the people.

UK today is a capitalist state of the upper class.

According to every socialist and internationalist idea, the reign of a free and socialist government is our goal as an internationalist movement, and it is also the goal of the North Ireland working class, to live in a free socialist state.

Therefore; If Ireland is to liberate North Ireland from the United Kingdom (invade with Irish troops and take it with violence from the UK), this is not to be considered imperialistic.

Your invading of North Ireland is not hindering you from joining the Comintern.

Comrade

May I enquire if you are answering for all 6 member Parties of the Comintern?

And if I may be so bold to enquire if you have authority to do so?

You may.

First of all; this, the new Comintern, was founded yesterday. The six parties that I have put on the list of official members, are there because each of their party president was asked to join the Comintern, and the answers we got from them were affirmative. They have practically only introduced themselves as you have. What I'm trying to say is that our internal structure is not yet there. Normally we would have consulted eachother behind closed doors, but we have to get some members to have anyone to consult. Wink

And the reason I answered that inflative is because we in MSAP (the party I'm a member of) have had long and serious debates on this for some time now. And our official position is that a socialist country is engouraged to spread socialisms also with the sword as long as it's a bourgeoisie country that is being attacked.

And of course, provided that one have consulted any possible socialist party in the country that is about to be invaded, and from that direction have got thumbs up. So for example, have you talked to the PCP in the UK about it?

Thank you for your quick and honest replies Beharede. This seems like a very good fit for my party, but of course I will need to post on my forum to see what my members think about it.

We can settle any issues that arise regarding Ireland's hope to have NI as they come up.
